Hans A. Bunse founded the company in 1948 as a mechanical engineering trade. In addition to various lifting devices, small goods lifts, passenger lifts, goods lifts, hospital bed lifts and underfloor lifts were manufactured for the end-user market.
In January 1957, the company was renamed Hans A. Bunse Maschinenbau.
When a structural change became apparent in the German lift industry in the mid-1960s, the Bunse company concentrated and specialised in the manufacture and further development of small goods lifts. At the same time, the distribution channel was restructured.
As a pure manufacturing company, Bunse has since then exclusively supplied other lift companies, which also carry out the assembly and maintenance of the lifts. At the same time, the first lift systems began to be exported abroad.
In 1979 the export business was further expanded and agreements were made with the first foreign representatives. Further business transactions took place from the time of the renewed change of name to Bunse-Aufzüge GmbH.
After Hans A. Bunse gave up the successful management, Falk Bunse took over the chairmanship of the company and has been leading the company in the 2nd generation since then.
In order to further expand the existing product range, a small 3-person lift was added to the delivery programme in 1983, which was primarily used in private homes.
The company Bunse-Aufzüge GmbH has been officially certified according to the ISO 9001 standard. This standard sets and implements minimum requirements in the quality management of our company. The requirements of the standard cover the areas of customer requirements as well as product and service quality.
In addition to certification, the product range continued to expand in the following years. The company's range grew to include goods lifts and goods lifts with attendant, which today fall under the Cargo Line and Cargo Line +.
As one of the first companies in our market segment, we received DIN ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2017. The standard is the world's best-known management system in corporate quality management and strives for the lasting and sustainable success of a company.
In the same year, the product range was expanded again. Since then, the product line has been complemented by the IDEALLIFT lifts for the private sector. The newly developed home lift now serves as a passenger lift with maximum accessibility and is characterised by reliability and long service life, among other things.
